Wrexham Christmas Lights

Background
Wrexham Borough Council had received some negative publicity about the Christmas lights offering in the City Centre, locals even describing the lights as looking like “barbed wire!” After a formal tender process, L ITE Ltd. were chosen to supply a comprehensive scheme of lights to the City. LITE were requested to work in conjunction with the incumbent installation Company, Bebbington and Wilson Ltd. to deliver the whole scheme to a very tight timescale.
Solution
After several site meet ings, bespoke designs were selected and then manufactured at LITE’s factory in Bulgaria, one featuring a Welsh and English “Merry Christmas from Wrexham” display, the others consisting of a gold and silver theme and some with twinkling ceilings of light casting a warm and cosy feeling over the City’s main shopping areas. Delivery of the lights to the installer was done with a phased approach which worked well and kept the installers busy right up until the week before the official “switch on”

“We have long awaited a new scheme of Christmas lights here in Wrexham and when LITE delivered the lights and we saw them finally in place, we were not disappointed. The response we have had from the general public to the new lights has been fantastic and we can only thank Martin and LITE for all the hard work and patience in delivering such a wonderful scheme.”
