Silverburn Shopping Centre is a popular retail destination on the Southside of Glasgow. A recent leisure extension to the facility required a new RGB Dynamic LED solution to illuminate vertical facade features along with a “beacon” detail. Using Philips ColorKinetics RGB product – ColorBlast, ColorGraze and ColorReach all controlled using a Pharos LPC and BPS (Button Panel Switch). The Colorblasts were located behind a Parapet so they would not be seen from the pavement, these were used to flood the Vertical Cladding panels and a mix of ColorGraze and ColorBlasts were used to illuminate and bring the Beacon to life. 290w ColorReach (6no.) were fixed to stainless steel “T” shaped posts, this allowed them to be angled independently to direct light onto the angled copper facade panels. The Pharos LPC allows the client to pre-load a calendar of lighting events, and at the same time has 8 pre-set buttons when needed.
