House of Fraser wanted their flagship store in Glasgow to have an upgrade to the exterior lighting that allowed the building to be illuminated in their corporate colour of pink. This was achieved through the use of discreet and narrow 600mm Philips iColorGraze Powercore mounted between each window reveal on three floor levels utilising a 10x60deg beam angle to wash the façade of the building. The excellent control of the beam distribution from the product meant that the architectural features of the building were highlighted with almost no light spill into the actual window reveals or into the interior of the store. Whilst the chosen product does offer full RGB colour change ability the client’s and planning permission’s specific request was for the building to be lit in the primary chosen colour of ‘HoF Pink’. Control was via a simple Philips iPlayer3 with set on/off times programmed into the system.
