LITE were appointed as the new Festive Lighting supplier and installer to Peterborough City Council in August 2021.

The selection process was largely determined by the client’s desire to have fully controllable lights in the 36 large deciduous trees that create a beautiful avenue through the city centre.
LITE were able to offer the Twinkly Pro lights that both fulfilled and exceeded that brief.
The scheme was then extended to incorporate column mounted chandeliers and post mounted 3D trees which were also fully controllable and offered a myriad of special effects.

The main features in the city centre however, were the 4 giant light screens mounted to the Guildhall which is located in the centre of Cathedral Square where the ever popular “switch on” event is held. These screens provided, in effect, low resolution videos which were programmed to include numerous festive animations, which had been created by our very own “in house” technical and design teams. These lighting shows were all pre-programmed and in future years can be changed remotely, to feature any new videos the client desires.

Not just for Christmas, but for any celebration at any time of year.
